4.1 How to Book

Appointments can be requested by emailing giulia.brazzoli@gmail.com with your preferred days and times from the availability calendar on the Website, together with a completed and signed consent form. Appointments are confirmed via email.

4.2 Consent Form

Before your first appointment, you are required to download, complete and sign the Informed Consent form, which is available on the Website. This document outlines the nature of the service, confidentiality, fees, cancellation policy, and your rights. The signed form must be returned via email. Services cannot commence without a signed consent form.

I require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or where you fail to attend (“no-show”), will be charged at the full session rate. This fee cannot be claimed through Medicare or private health insurance.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1 Telehealth Fees

The current fee for a telehealth session (approximately 50 minutes) is $190.25 (AUD). With a valid Mental Health Care Plan and GP referral, Medicare provides a rebate of $145.25, resulting in a gap fee of $45.00.

5.2 In-Person Fees

Fees for in-person appointments at Double Bay Doctors are set by the clinic and differ from the telehealth rate described above. This service does not fall under the reduced-rate telehealth offering. Please contact me for current in-person rates.

5.3 Payment

Payment is due at the time of the session unless otherwise agreed. Medicare rebates are processed after payment of the full session fee.

5.4 Fee Changes

I reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice. You will be informed of any fee changes in advance of your next appointment.

6. Telehealth

Telehealth sessions are conducted via Zoom. By participating in telehealth sessions, you agree that:

  • You will ensure a private, quiet, and secure environment for the duration of the session.

  • You will have a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.

  • You will download and install the Zoom application prior to your first session (available at zoom.us/download).

  • You understand that no electronic communication is entirely secure and accept the inherent risks of telehealth.

  • Sessions will not be recorded by either party unless explicitly agreed in advance.

  • You are physically located in Australia at the time of the session (this is a requirement for AHPRA registration and Medicare billing).

7. Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is strictly confidential. I am bound by the Psychology Board of Australia Code of Conduct and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

To provide the psychotherapy service, I take brief clinical notes during sessions relating to information relevant to your situation. These are used for assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery. Notes are written by hand; no AI is used to record or transcribe sessions.

Your data is stored securely in accordance with applicable laws and professional requirements, in both paper and electronic formats.

By signing the consent form, you authorise the sharing of clinically relevant information with your GP and/or psychiatrist where appropriate and in your interest.

Confidentiality may be limited in the following circumstances, as required or authorised by law:

  • Where there is a reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child.

  • Where disclosure is required by a court order, subpoena, or other lawful process.

  • Where disclosure is authorised by you (e.g., to share information with your GP or another treating professional).

  • To protect public health or safety.

  • To assist in locating a missing person, where permitted by law.

  • You will be asked to provide informed consent before services commence.

  • Consent will be reviewed periodically (at least every 12 months) and whenever there is a significant change in the nature of the service (e.g., change in modality, treatment approach, or type of therapy).
